Uniforms

Pack 163 represents the Boy Scouts of America in Fate and wherever our adventures take us. We want to wear our uniforms with pride and respect; therefore, the following guidelines for uniforms will apply.

During all scouting events, a full Class A uniform must be worn, unless otherwise notified by the pack leaders. All Scouts should wear tennis/athletic shoes, BSA pants or nice blue jeans in good condition, without holes, while in uniform. If a Scout chooses to wear shorts, we will require BSA approved shorts and socks to be worn in Class A. Absolutely NO athletic shorts or flip flops.

Class A Uniform

  1. Class A Shirt: (helpful hint--buy a size or two larger than needed, and it can last a couple years!)

  • Lions: No class A uniform required

  • Tiger thru Webelo: Navy shirt. Can wear navy or jeans shorts or pants.

  • Arrow of Light: Tan shirt. Can wear either army green or jean pants or shorts.

  1. Scout Shirt Patches: Do not forget your patches for your shirt. If you ask a scout shop representative for assistance, they can direct you to the needed patches. They will need the following info: Pack 163, Circle 10 Council.

  2. Official Cub Scout Neckerchief and Slide: Each rank has their corresponding items, so make sure to get your Scouts appropriate rank.

  3. Official Cub Scout Belt: Tiger through Webelos are a navy belt and AOL are a green belt. If your Scout is a Tiger through Bear, they will receive awards in the form of belt loops. These belt loops fit perfectly onto their official Cub Scout belt; therefore, make sure to grab your Scout a belt so they can display their hard work.

  4. Webelos Colors Pin (Webelos/AOL Only): Webelos/AOL scouts receive pins instead of belt loops for awards and will need this pin to display their awards on their uniform.

Uniform costs change every year but expect to pay close to $100 for your Class A. If you have any issues with this cost, please talk to the Committee as we are dedicated to helping families participate in Scouting.

Class B Uniform

The Class B uniform is a t-shirt with the Pack 163 insignia. The cost of this shirt is included in your dues, and the Pack will order the shirt for your Scout. This shirt will be worn under your Scout’s Class A Uniform and also during less formal scouting events such as campouts, as directed by Pack Leadership.
